Yes!

"I happen to believe the experience is more valuable than the documentation. I have never been interested in photography that claims to be an actual representation of reality. While “Documentary” photography certainly has its place, and there are some great documentary photographers, ultimately it doesn’t appeal to me.

I prefer photographs that purposely recreate experience. “Making documents” then becomes its own experience, one that isn’t being missed out upon."

Last Night's Party Redux

Merlin Bronques is brilliant.  The first time I heard about Last Night's Party, I thought, meh... just another party photography site, but tonight, for some strange reason, I felt compelled to look a little deeper.  Consider me impressed.  This guy knows what he's doing.  So great.

Watch his videos

Look at his images

(And OMG to the Apollonia 6 musical references... "Make Up" remix and "Sex Shooter" in the dance scene.  Clearly a sign.)

Vivian Maier

Incredible.  The best street photography I've ever seen.  The story behind it is pretty unbelievable.  Follow the link for more:  http://vivianmaier.blogspot.com/
